Except for the person on my floor that does this "pencil as a doorstop" manuever. We know who it is, and they do not work for my agency. My co-workers and I have started talking and we want to remove the pencil the next time we see it! Someone even had the great to remove it and then tape it inside the stairwell with a note ( ie "Is this yours?"; "Does this belong here?").

Expect Major delays ! (Though WMATA failed to send out an alert about this!)
Coupled with the MARC heat problems I expect I am in for the commute from HELL!
Usually it takes me 1 hour 15 minutes door to door in the evening!

The Washington Post had a story this morning about "Do-it -yourself" clinics at Home Depot.
I followed a link inside the story and found a clinic for changing a bathroom faucet, later in February. This would fit nicely with my plans to make some cosmetic changes in the guest bathroom (replacing the mirror and light fixtures).
If I decide its now time to cease my boycott of Home Depot, do you think I could change a bathroom faucet?

Just heard a snippet on my morning news -- "The average pet owner buys their pet 6.7 gifts during the holiday season".
Madison usually gets 3 or 4. This year she is getting 2... the biggest cat condo that I can fit in my car, and a fancy new litter box mat.

Yesterday I got off the train and was ready to drive home, opened up the car, put the top down and thought I put the front windows down. The passenger side window went down, but the driver side window wouldn't budge! Since the MARC parking lot is a mess at that time of day, I didn't want to fuss with it... so I drove home (5 minutes!!). When I got home I tried again , nothing! I thought this is great... just when I am almost ready to trade in Fritz II it's having mechanical failures!
This morning when I got to the train station, I tried the window again and it went down and back up (YAY!) Who knows what happened ( its possible I was tired and was pressing the wrong button, but I don't think so).
Which means .....It's poll time again!

As I was waiting for the train this morning a fellow commuter and I were speaking about our weekend plans, and I mentioned that I was going to look at new cars (Nissan and Mitsubishi!). Then she said "Will your Dad go with you when you pick out what you want?".
I am sure my jaw dropped open at this....
At less than 2 weeks until I hit the big 33.... do I really need my Dad to go with me to buy a car ? :-/
