A few weeks ago I received my invitation to Nordstrom's Private Holiday Shopping Event (I got one last year but didn't go).

The trigger for the invite is spending a certain amount (via a Nordstrom Card) which I did when I purchased this....

So I decided to attend the morning event at Tysons Corner. I had never been to the mall in Tysons. A previous employer had an office there that I had been to once or twice And i had also been to the Tiffanys located there.

Luckily due to it being early on a Sunday traffic was not a problem.

I took my mom with me. As we are walking into the mall I notice she is carrying a big Macy's shopping bag!!!! I asked her to please fold it up ( hello! we can't have a Macys bag at a big Nordstrom event... that would be like taking a Kate Spade handbag to a Chanel fashion show ;) )

Her response: But my candy canes are in there!!

Me: What?!?!?!!?

Mom: Candy Canes! I hand them out to salespeople!!

This was the first time I had heard about any such activity... so I am sure I made a face....

Moving on...

We entered Nordstrom with my fancy ticket.

I only bought 1 item, but wow! some of the other shoppers were going crazy!!

Then we went out and explored the rest of the mall. I did some damge in Pottery Barn, and my mom even handed out her candy canes, which the salespeople made a fuss over (since I am not one for fuss... and really want to avoid talking to salespeople at all costs anyway... I just smiled and tried to get out of the store as fast as possible).

We went to lunch as Coastal Flats..... it was all decorated for XMAS..... and I had an awesome Shrimp Roll .....

By now if you are a regular reader you know about my love for handbags (and shoes)!

For a while now I have been wanting to get a L.A.M.B. Carlisle Clutch (at least a year). And luckily they have a version very season, and they go on sale at the end (usually at least 40-50%)... but I am usually too late to whatever website has it on sale.

So this season my plan was to stake out the local "Off 5th Ave" Saks outlet. They carry L.A.M.B. and usually have a good selection at about 30-40% off. I went a few weeks ago... and they had one... but it had a mark on it... so I restrained myself. Then I went last week.... it was still there....with the same mark... so I somehow restrained myself again :P

Then I went home and hit Google! Nordstrom had it ... Brand New... 40% off and Free Shipping!!! So I ordered it... and it will be delivered today!

No handbags bought! Yay! (even though I saw a really cute L.A.M.B. bag....).

I got everything I set out to get!

Kate Spade -- They were not on the floor... in fact Towson only had 2 pairs left (which is why they they were no longer on the floor). One was a 6 - YAY!

Stuart Weitzman - All sold out of the grey flannel, but they did have a pair in Leopard Print (which I did not buy!) which I tried on for fit purposes. Somewhere had a Grey 6, so I ordered it and its being shipped to me!

Enzo Angiollini - the salesman had never even heard of these being available in black/white... but they had them in balck, which I tried on and loved.... so of course I ordeed them online!!

It was a success :-)

Topped off the day with a soft shell crab sandwhich for lunch!

New movie opens Friday! (I'll be at Nordstrom....but I'll get to see it shortly!)

The best sale of the season (@ Nordstrom) starts today! (it's been going on for about 2 weeks for Level 2 Fashion Rewards members ( of which I am one :P) , but I have been restraining myself and will not be going until my flex day next Friday. I have been very good and have not gone shopping (at a mall or online) in over a month! So watch out!

Amazing shoe find of the month! I have been lusting these shoes since I saw them in the Nordstrom catalog last fall, but at a listed price of over $100 I couldn't justify it to myself ( though I tried really hard ).

So about a month ago I bookmarked the Shoes on Zappos and Nordstrom, to track if the price dropped... neither site was below $100 yet, so about a week later I did a Google search - and found them on Endless.com for about $80... SOLD! and for some reason they gave me an extra $ 5 off when I checkedout, and Free Overnight UPS shipping!!

WooHoo!! I love shoes!!!!!!!

Splish Splash!

I got an awesome deal at DSW on a pair of Sperry Rain Boots (in Winter White!), that I had been eye-ing for months at Nordstrom.

Yay Sales!

I went to Westfield Annapolis over the weekend, to check out the expansion. I think I have a new favorite mall!! But due to the construction, my normal parking spot is gone... so I need to play around with finding a new one.

I don't think I have ever seen so many people in a Pottery Barn!! But I bet it will be even more packed on the day after x-mas, when thereis a run on the Reindeer dishes!! I got a pocketwatch clock in bronze for my living room.

Sephora was packed too.
