And the web has made it worse. Emails about sales and free shipping is the bait and I am the fish (that's usually caught) :P
Last night I recieved an email about a Kate Spade Sample Sale. I held off visiting the site for a few hours, but I eventually landed there. I surfed. I manged to avoid buying.
But I went back this morning... and now I really want this bag:
I am am going to try and hold off until Friday... when according to sources, if still available it will be even more discounted....then I will buy it. It is my Birthday after all :D

One concern I had with moving from Condo to Single Family Home was the trash pickup situation.
In the condo everything just went into the dumpster. No recycling. No separating. No keeping track of pickup days. And I loved taking out trash.... I think it's part of my OCD/decluttering craziness.
So prior to the move I was concerned about the effort that would have to go into "Taking out the Trash".
But no worries needed. Cheverly has an awesome Public Works department. In addition to Twice weekly trash pickup... They also have once a week recycling pickup (which you don't have to separate - plastic, cans, bottles, and cardboard can all go into the same bin!) Once a week Yard Waste pickup (which the town turns into mulch... and you can have it for FREE!) ....... and once a week BULK TRASH PICKUP!!!
So I still like taking out the trash.... and even better...
I have neighbors that take up my emptied trash cans to my garage while I am at work :)

It's been over 2 months ... so I guess I was due for more house drama!
This morning I woke up early and was doing my normal "watch tv and surf the internets"....when I heard an odd sound... that didn't seem to be coming from Beverly Hills 90210....
I looked up....and noticed something sitting on my FIOS box... I thought it was a mouse... but wasn't sure. So I went to turn on a light...and that's when it spread its wings...and started flying around the living room! A Bat!!!!
EEEEEEEEEK!
So I spent a few minutes crouched low to the floor, then I decided to grab Madison and shut her in a room upstairs (not very well though, because she escaped!)
Then I decided I would try to trap it myself....and I did! Its currently trapped under the base of a hand held blender mixing bowl.
Problem solved right? Not so quick....
The local community email group pointed me to this article from WaPo. So now I am waiting for Animal Control to come pick it up to be tested for rabies :/
.... and wonder how the bat got in the house in the first place, and if there are more :(

If I hadn't just bought all new windows for my house I would totally be going to Austraila in November to see Pearl Jam, via this travel package...
Traveling for a Pearl Jam tour is not new to me. I have been to New York, Virgnia Beach, Philly, Seattle, (and my local DC shows of course). But many other fans are crazier than me. They do the whole tour, go to Eurpoe, Canada, South America, and Austraila. And Pearl Jam seems to be acknowledging it....with the Introduction of Travel Packages and Special Hotel rates (Fan Club memebers got an email yesterday about Special Rates for the pilgramage to Philly that will be happening at the end of October).
I can't wait to see what the Ten Club puts together for Cleveland 2017 (The first ceremony that J will be eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...)

Yay! Just bought these... thanks to an alert from ShopItToMe!
Much like shoes and handbags... I haven't really met a nail polish that I don't like. Pink, Red, Blue, Green, Burgundy, Yellow... I'd buy them all, but I do somehow restrain myself, though last week I went overboard on Sephora by OPI. ;)
I paint my nails at least once a week, sometimes twice, (finger nails... I am terrible at toes and leave that to the professionals).
I think my first nail polish purchase was a Hot Pink by Wet n'Wild when I was around 7 or 8...I have graduated over the years to Revlon, O.P.I., and essie. And now OPI and essie make mini-bottles so you can buy even more :D

Last night I went to see Silversun Pickups at Ram's Head Live up in Baltimore. First time there.. and I must say while the venue is in a good location, with other bars and restaurants close by, I still prefer the 930 Club in DC. Ram's Head Live is kinda like 930 Club, with 2 levels, but I was just not feeling the way the first floor is setup. When you walk in you go down a hallway, there is a bar on the right, then its another hallway to get to the stage, but it bottlenecks making it hard to get to the other side.
Which brings me to the point of this post... why do 6'' tall people (most usually guys!) decide to stand right in front of me ( I am about 5 '') at these shows?!?!? It never fails... I get a decent spot, where I can kinda see, then 15 minutes in Mr 6" tall shows up. I don't even think wearing 3' heels would help. That would only put me at 5"3'.... and my feet would be killing me by the end of the show :(
