Well this is surprising....

Hundreds complain of Home Depot's bad service

NOT!!I haven't been back to Home Depot since the horrible service I experienced trying to order some interior shutters! On my first visit (8am on a Saturday morning...when the store was not crowded at all) no one wanted to help me in the Window Treatment area...apparently a personal phone call was more important. Then when I finally had the measurements taken and needed to call for the estimate they transferred me around the entire store about 7 times, and 4 of them were the same person!

I have had great luck at Lowes and my neighborhood Ace Hardware!
