yes, metro was all sorts of crappy this week. but it could've been worse. on the day the orange line had major delays and was single-tracking, i was on a train with a woman who nearly passed out (well, the train was packed like sardines and we were all wearing out winter coats and it was hot). someone asked her if she needed medical attention and she was ambivalent ('maybe it's nothing..' i heard her say). after asking her some questions to determine why she nearly fainted, another passenger suggested that maybe that happened because she hadn't eaten yet and she was on a crowded train and it was hot. when she said she thought she was going to be ok, i think we were all relieved that we weren't THAT train that had a medical emergency and would back up a bunch of trains that were already backed up.
